Headshot / Portrait Shoots

COST AND SCHEDULING:

Nicholas Gould Headshot Session:

My headshot session rate is $350 for the shoot. There is a $100 deposit required to book a session; this is non-refundable and goes towards the $350 total. Group and corporate rates are available. I work, both, in-studio and on location so I can easily come to you if need be.

YOUR SESSION:

I like to shoot a variety of different looks during a session. Shooting a range of looks in this way will allow you to have multiple shots available for different marketing purposes. I will shoot each look until I feel I’ve got it covered.

Part of my process is to edit the session with you as we go. You will inspect each shot one by one with me to determine its potential use or not. By shooting and editing in this manner, we can adjust the focus of the shots during the session to account for anything we feel we may have missed. You'll know exactly what you will be working with when we are done, by having gone through the entire session and approving images along the way.

The approved shots will be made available on your own proofing website. You will be able to share the site information with  friends, family, agents or anyone else who might help you choose the shots you decide to use. The site is a perfect tool for choosing your shots and remains online for one year from your shoot date. If you are using the site and would like it to remain online longer,  just ask and I’d be happy to keep it active for you.

RETOUCHING AND PRINTING:

Once we’ve chosen the shots, we can go through retouching and printing options and services with together.

CLOTHING:

I like everyone to bring a range of different options for clothing. Rule #1: You have to love it! If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you won’t shoot well while wearing it.

People always ask me what colors are best; I really like to get a visual of something, so I suggest bringing a wide variety of colors. Don't be seasonal; everything from t-shirts, tank tops to sweaters and light jackets can work. I love textures and layers, but would generally stay away from crazy patterns.

If it's not with you, I can't shoot it, so if you find yourself questioning whether or not something will work, just bring it along. I also suggest having some fun with this, if you feel your wardrobe is missing something then go shopping and you can keep the tags on it and return the items after the shoot. I have a clothing steamer, so don't worry about wrinkles, we'll be able to easily sort them out.

HAIR & MAKEUP:

Women's makeup

Makeup for the session is highly recommended for all women.  Hair/makeup services are available if you prefer to have it professionally done.

We start very naturally to give you a very clean look and will add a touch of makeup in the middle of the shoot if you prefer a darker look over the course of the session.  If you’d like to start with a tad bit more than a natural look that’s fine too, just let the makeup artist know. They are there for you throughout the session in order to make sure the makeup is fresh and can attend to anything that needs adjustment while I’m shooting.

A separate fee will be assessed for these services.

Women's hair

We ask that everyone come in with their hair ready the way you would like to present yourself. We want your hair in your pictures to be as close as possible to the way you look on a good hair day. You are really in charge here because hair is such a personal thing and we want you to feel like yourself, so please feel free to guide us in how you'd like it to look.

Men

It's not required (and personally, I do not like makeup on men), but you can hire a makeup artist if you feel you need a little blemish cover up or some hair grooming on the shoot. Also, if you feel you might want some shots with some facial hair, you can come in with a some growth and shave at some point during your session.

Feel free to reach out with any additional questions you might have.
